Mini Biography

Alice Elizabeth Fortune was traveling with her parents, Mark Fortune and Mary Fortune, and her two sisters, Ethel Flora Fortune and Mabel Helen Fortune, and her brother, Charles Alexander Fortune. The Fortune family all boarded the Titanic at Cherbourg, France, on Wednesday, 10th April, 1912, and were bound for Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Mark Fortune and his son Charles Alexander Fortune were both lost in the sinking, and their bodies were not recovered. Mary Fortune, Ethel Flora Fortune, Alice Elizabeth Fortune and Mabel Helen Fortune all managed to board lifeboat No. 10, and survived the sinking of the Titanic.
