John George Sage was traveling with his wife, Annie Elizabeth Sage, and the couple's nine children, Stella Anne Sage, George John Sage, Douglas Bullen Sage, Frederick Sage, Dorothy Sage, Anthony William Sage, Elizabeth Ada Sage, Constance Gladys Sage, and Thomas Henry Sage.

The Sage family all boarded Titanic at Southampton, on Wednesday, 10th April, 1912, and all of the Sage family members were bound for Jacksonville, Florida.

John George Sage, together with his eldest son, George John Sage, had previously worked in Canada and Florida, and they had now sold up in England, and were emigrating to the U.S. complete with the entire Sage family.

All of the Sage family were lost in the sinking, making them the largest family group lost in the sinking of the Titanic, and only the body of Anthony William Sage was ever recovered and identified.
