Mark Fortune was traveling with his wife, Mary Fortune, and their four children, Ethel Flora Fortune, Alice Elizabeth Fortune, Mabel Helen Fortune and Charles Alexander Fortune. The Fortune family all boarded Titanic at Cherbourg, on Wednesday, 10th April, 1912, and were bound for Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
Mark Fortune and his son Charles Alexander Fortune were both lost in the sinking, and their bodies were not recovered. Mary Fortune, Ethel Flora Fortune, Alice Elizabeth Fortune and Mabel Helen Fortune all managed to board lifeboat 10, and survived the sinking.
