Elisabeth Walton Allen boarded the Titanic at Southampton, England, on Wednesday, 10th April, 1912, traveling to St. Louis, Missouri.

Elisabeth Walton Allen was traveling with her aunt, Elisabeth Walton Robert, her cousin, Georgette Alexandra Madill, and the family's maid, Emilie Kreuchen.

Elisabeth Walton Robert, Georgette Alexandra Madill, Elisabeth Walton Allen, and Emilie Kreuchen managed to board lifeboat No. 2, and they all survived the sinking of Titanic.

Elisabeth Walton Allen had the distinction of being the first person to step aboard the Carpathia, who confirmed to the purser that Titanic had indeed sunk.

Elisabeth Walton Allen died on 15th December, 1967, and was buried in an unknown location in Tunbridge Wells, England, United Kingdom.
