A mosaic replica of the Titanic is to be unveiled to launch a programme celebrating and promoting Liverpool 8.
Love L8 will celebrate Liverpool 8 and its history while delivering a programme to enhance the area, leaving a legacy that people can enjoy for years to come.
Work on green spaces, buildings and the general area will take place in the next six months.
The city council is working with local businesses, social enterprises and local artist, Alan Murray, to brighten up the area with artworks being installed on a number of green spaces and grot spots brought back into use.
Much of the work in the Park Road area will be funded by money made available through an agreement with Tesco, following development of their store in the area with other schemes being funded through a number of sources.
