Hi all, I'm Stella Burnell, from Australia. I've always had a fascination with the "Titanic", since I was a child. My grandfather was a crewman on the "Mackay Bennett", which picked up the bodies of the "Titanic" victims . The ship left Halifax stacked with coffins and came back full of bodies. It was always known as "The Coffin Ship" after that, and they always had trouble finding crew ( seamen being superstitious souls!) .

I live in Brisbane, Australia, and am a retired registered nurse. My husband is also a keen researcher of "Titanic" . We're happy to have found this forum !

Hi all,

My name is Luther and I have been obsessed in Titanic since I was a kid (26 now) ater my mother bought me a Titanic book, not because I watched the movie  .I am from Australia.I wouldn't say I know everything about it but I do know a bit.I love learning about her and when I think about her I go into deep quite thought for a long time,I dont know what it is but Titanic does that to me..Sound cheesy I know.I have decided to join the forum because I have been told to ''Shut up about the Titanic'' by family and friends.

Anyway, hello to all and i'm looking forward to the chit chatter over a brandy.

HI to all.

I have decided to join the forum because I have been told to ''Shut up about the Titanic'' by family and friends.

I get the same treatment' though the 100th anniversary made my family speak of the ship more lately. After when anniversary ends they will have no interest in Titanic any more until the next anniversary rolls into town.

Hello all,

I just joined the forum this morning and wanted to say hello. I've been interested in this infamous ship for as long as I can remember. The only item I have related to her is a complete set of deck plans in excellent condition. Some years back, I saw the Titanic exhibition in Boston, which included the large piece of the hull which had been recently been salvaged.

A few miles from me is one of the oldest THS museums in Indian Orchard, Massachusetts, USA. - started in 1963.

I've looked over some of the models people have built - some very impressive works!!

Nice to meet you all.

- Scott
