Violet Jessop

She must have been either the luckiest or unluckiest person ever
She was involved in Olympic incident then Titanic sinking the Britannic’s! I don’t think I would have used sea travel after Titanic!
i know i asked for ice but this is ridiculous!

Hello Titanicobsessor. A lucky lady indeed. If I were due to go on a trip on a ship and found out that Violet Jessop was also on the ship I would cancel my journey right away. Ken.

Hello Pat. Yes, your right in that America there memorials and museums are profuse. But no matter how many museums they have, you have Belfast. And thats just got to be the tops. Ken.

Various books and websites have passages about Violet Jessop talking about her friend Jim, the scullion, and the ship's cat Jenny who followed Jim around. I am having trouble finding the original source for the information, and am also wondering who Jim actually was. On the list of crew, I don't see any other possibilites besides H. James Duffin. Anyone have any ideas?

Violet Jessop is such an interesting person to study. I was excited when she featured in the recent Titanic mini series, with such a good likeness :)

What a fighter though! Three ocean liner crashes, in 1911, 1912 and 1916 and she continues working on them until 1950. Good effort I say!
