Maija Emelia Abraham Panula was traveling with her five children, Ernesti Arvid Panula, Jaako Arnold Panula, Juha Niilo Panula, Urho Abraham Panula, and Eino Viljam Panula. plus a family friend, Susanna Juhantytär Riihivuori .
They all boarded Titanic at Southampton, and were bound for Coal Center, PA.
The entire Panula family were lost in the sinking, together with Susanna Juhantytär Riihivuori , and none of their bodies were recovered.
However, in 2002, in an effort to try to identify the 'Unknown Child', a team from Lakehead University, Ontario, Canada managed to prove, using D.N.A., that Eino Viljam Panula was indeed the body in the grave of the 'Unknown Child'.
