Joseph Bruce Ismay

Joseph Bruce Ismay boarded the Titanic at Southampton, England, on Wednesday, 10th April, 1912, traveling to New York City, New York.

Joseph Bruce Ismay was traveling with his secretary, William Henry Harrison, as well as his valet, John Richard Fry.

Joseph Bruce Ismay was president of the White Star Line, and instrumental in the design of Olympic, Titanic, and Britannic. Joseph Bruce Ismay always traveled on the maiden voyage of his ships, so the trip on Titanic was no exception.

Joseph Bruce Ismay managed to board lifeboat Collapsible C and survived the sinking of the Titanic.

Joseph Bruce Ismay died on 17th October, 1937, and was buried in Putney Vale Cemetery and Crematorium, Wimbledon, Greater London.
