Emil Taussig was traveling with his wife, Tillie Taussig, and their daughter, Ruth Taussig, and they all boarded Titanic at Southampton, on Wednesday, 10th April, 1912, bound for New York City, New York.

Tillie Taussig and Ruth Taussig managed to board lifeboat 8, and survived the sinking, but Emil Taussig was lost, and his body was not recovered.
